Summary: History repeats. Those are the two words that you don't want to see together most of the time. For these Japanese spirits, though, that's precisely what they wanted.

History: In the Kushiata region of Feudal Japan, the shogun Shigero bore witness to his wife Otami having an affair with a man named Masonori. In a blind rage, Shigero killed them and then himself. Now, their spirits still inhabit the house, hoping to reenact their demise with the new people on the block so that they may move on.

Final Fate: Despite being seemingly exorcised, the ghosts notice that the family in their home has fallen prey to the same vices that occurred all those years ago. They immediately possess them, and the scene is repeated. After the ghosts go to the next life, the newest dead now take their place.

Powers/Abilities: Possession, turning into demonic crabs.

Weakness: Exorcisms, but they still stick around to see if anything happens that serves their purpose.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-It's like having Poltergeists in your home, and just as deadly. Violent and determined to repeat the past, this dysfunctional group of old ghosts is guaranteed to drive you insane. Also, demonic crabs. WHY?

Trivia: -According to director Kevin Connor, he doesn't hold this film in high regard due to the producers editing the original cut into something more condensed and less focused on the characters.

-It took half a day to shoot the demon crab sequence.
